My work has evolved from portrait painting and figurative to abstract figurative to pure abstraction. No longer tied to an image or a brush, I have a different relationship with paint now; I play with texture, shape and color in an intuitive, almost subconscious way, layering, scraping and blending paint with palette knives and most recently, adding elements of collage. I have complete trust in the process and I’m continually surprised by what emerges.
